O so sweet dress!

I just finished making this dress. Soooo cute and fun. Not to mention easy! I used the tute listed at the bottom. I did a couple things different. 1. I hate patterns and since this is so basic I just used my quilting ruler and a sewers pencil to measure and cut. 2. I made the dress a little bit longer and wider like she suggested. Hailie wears 2T and it's a little long but that just means she will wear it longer.
It's too cold but when it warms up I'll be sure to post pics of Hailie modeling it. 😄😄

Sew amazing!!

I just finished making my first piece of clothing! I made Hailie an adorable shirt using the tutorial here: http://www.themotherhuddle.com/tutorial-fat-quarter-pillow-case-dress/
I just shortened the length to 18" and since she's only in 18 month clothes still I only cut my panels 5" across. I also cut the trim at 5 1/2" by 22" instead. I busted out my double needle for all the stitching. The top stitching looks soooo good! I hope you like it as much as she does!

What a great Christmas!

This year Christmas was amazing. Hailie had such a good time. She got a little overwhelmed by the end of opening gifts. I really loved the look on her face when she came downstairs and saw what Santa left her.

This is my first post on my first blog. I've been wanting to start one of these for a while but I never seem to have the time. Most of what I write will probably be about my daughter Hailie and my husband Jeff they are my joy and my life. I'll probably bore anyone who reads this but for those of you who stick it out thanks. :-)
